STORIES OR SECRETS which one did you see?

"Wisdom is the principal thing; with all thy getting get understanding”. Sound familiar. Right?
Yes I know; it has become our every day theory, but excuse me answer this simple question.
Which of the “S” did you see always? Stories (letters) or Secrets (mystery)?

Let’s figure this out together…
"In the land of UZ there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.

He had seven sons and three daughters. And he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the east.”

What did you see? The story of a wealthy man, or the mystery for wealth creation
Jesus said “This is why I speak to them in parables (stories), though seeing, they do not see, though hearing they do not hear or understand.”  So where do you belong?

Many are times we read scripture as if we are reading stories and gossips on Linda Ikeji’s blog or Punch online. We are so enthralled by flow of the stories that we care not about the core message it carries. It is with this same approach many people study their bible. And yet they complain God is not speaking to them. Can God be partial or be a liar? No, I know Him. He still reveals great things to His children via the Word as in the days of Samuel “for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh via the Word”.

In the school of the Word, you only get Secret and Revelation when the Holy Spirit Himself takes you down to the depth of the Word. You cannot read the Word and understand on your own, this is totally impossible; for the bible says in the book of Revelation 5vs4-6

“I wept and wept because no-one was found worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elder said to me do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David (Jesus; the Holy Spirit), has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals”.

Then I saw a lamb, looking as if it has been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirit of God sent out into all the earth.”
Revelation 6vs1 “I watched as the lamb opened the first of the seven seals…”

There are some crucial questions we need to ask here; why is the man weeping?  And secondly, why is the scroll sealed with seven seals?
The man had to weep because he knew that he and the entire earth is doomed without knowing the content of the scroll. Remember God said “my people perish because of lack of knowledge” and it is not because there is a devil. And also the scroll has to be sealed with seven seals because the content of the scroll are deep things of God which belong solely to Him. As it is written “the deep things belongs to God”.
If you search yourself and find out that all you get from your bibles are stories, then you need help. You will need to change your approach so that you will not be wasting your time. And mind you, your time is your life.

It’s not too late to get it right, why must you continue in this way and getting not the so needful result. You can do the following to change your approach for the better.
1.       Ensure you find a cool calm place where no one can disturb you whenever you choose to study the bible.
2.       Ensure you get away from yourself anything that could cause distraction, most especially or cell phone.
3.       Have your devotional material (manual) and a writing pad alongside with your bible. This will help you document whatever (mystery) you receive from God.
4.       Before you open your bible, open your heart and say a sincere prayer like this “my heavenly father, I have come to you today to learn and hear from you. Teach me and speak into my heart by the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you God for answering me, for in the name of Jesus I pray.
5.       Open your devotional manual and your bible, take note of what God is dropping into your hear (your spirit).
6.       Write down anything that drop into your heart, and read it over again

If you will do this faithfully, you will be amazed at the result you will be getting each time you approach your bible study this way. God is not a liar, He is faithful to His word for He said “though the secret things belongs to Him, He reveals it to those who desires it”

He also said “those who thirst for righteousness shall be filled”.
Try this and you will be blessed, I wish you a fruitful exploits.

Let’s have your feedback; I can’t wait to read your testimony.
Shalom.
